When the authorities make an arrest, they typically will try to hypothesize about a possible motive and about potential details that led up to the arrest. However, these initial theories are not always true. Two individuals were recently arrested and charged with murder as well as a weapons offense, and the Baltimore authorities came up with a complicated hypothesis to support their claim.

The authority’s hypothesis begins with three individuals in a Baltimore residence. The investigators claim that a 31-year-old woman attempted to lure a man into the residence by unknown means with the promise of sexual intercourse. The officers suspect that the true intent of luring the victim was to rob him.

However, a 28-year-old man was also at the residence, and when the 26-year-old victim arrived, the police claim that the three persons got into an altercation. In this altercation, the authorities suspect that the two individuals both stabbed the victim a total of 60 times. The victim later died from his wounds. Three days later, the two individuals were arrested and accused of being involved in the crime.

The possible evidence that the authorities may have uncovered in order to form this theory is unclear. What led the investigators to suspect these two individuals is also unknown. In order for the charges to be sustained in a Baltimore criminal court, substantial evidence proving the murder and weapons offense charges will need to be presented by the prosecution. If sufficient evidence is not presented, charges against these individuals could be reduced or possibly dropped entirely.
